A new kind of pool company, with roots that go way back. Family-run, North Texas based, and built on decades of pool construction experience.
Our story
I started The Container Pool Company after spending the last 15 years in the tech world and wanting to build something a little more tangible, local, and offline.
Pools aren't completely new to me, though. My grandfather started a pool company in Granbury more than 40 years ago and still runs it today. I've always been around the business, and I've always loved good design, architecture, and optimizing spaces.
Why container pools? They're simple, modern, a little industrial, and completely different from the traditional backyard pool — and honestly, they just look cool. They're built off-site, delivered to the property, and can be installed above ground, partially in-ground, or fully in-ground. And with the right decking, landscaping, and design around them, they can completely transform a backyard.
We operate as the general contractor for the project. We help design the overall space, source the pool from one of our manufacturing partners, and coordinate the site work, foundation, crane, plumbing, electrical, decking, landscaping, permits, and everything else needed to get it installed.
Instead of a homeowner buying a container pool and then figuring out the rest on their own, we bring all the pieces together from design through installation.
We're a new company, and we're not pretending otherwise. We're taking on a limited number of projects, learning with every one, and trying to do things the right way.
And yes, we're a business. We need to make a profit on the projects we manage and the work we do. But we also want to be fair, transparent, and flexible. Every property is different, every budget is different, and we'll work with you to figure out where it makes sense to spend money — and where it doesn't.
Things we'll tell you other builders may not.
Some lots are wrong for a container pool — if there's zero crane access with no workaround, or the required footprint is bigger than any container size, we'll say so at the first visit. A container pool is a plunge or lap-style pool, not a freeform lagoon, so if you need a sprawling shape, gunite is the better answer. Crane access is the single biggest cost driver, and a tight lot with no clear path can add real dollars before you even get to pool options. And the steel shell needs the coating done right, once — we won't cut corners there, because that's the difference between a pool that lasts decades and one that doesn't.
